Choosing glass for your artwork is the final step.
Value of your piece, sentimental or monetary, is one factor when choosing glass. There is quite a price difference between
regular clear glass and museum glass for example.
Another thing to consider is the placement of the piece
in your home. Will it be exposed to a lot of direct light?
Do you prefer clear glass or non glare ( also referred
to as reflection control)? The non glare glass may in some cases slightly diffuse the details or color in the piece, but on
the other hand, you get away from possible glare.
The choice is yours!
Plexiglass
We do not keep plexiglass in stock, but we can order it when needed. We recommend plexiglass when the picece
is too big for the frame to support the weight of regular glass. The reason we do not recommend it for regular framing
is because it has a tendency to scratch easily.
A tip for you:
If you
have signed and numbered prints, charcoals, pencil sketches etc. that are not matted, make sure they are framed with glass
spacers. You never want your valuable artwork in direct contact with the glass!
